More 2015 Corvette C7 Z06 idiocy- 8l90 automatic transmission THIRD cooler

The overheating automatic transmissions on the newest generation of +General Motors Corvette C7 is a fact of life, already well established on the base Stingray (is there anything that does not overheat on the newest Corvette, actually?).

In an apparent stroke of automotive genius, +Tadge Juechter and his team decided that more should be better, and added the THIRD automatic transmission cooler to the finally released A8 Z06 flagship  which has to be some kind of a record-in automotive stupidity.

The first two cooling attempts, one in the quarter panel and one under transaxle failed big time on the base Stingray with Z51 option, thus, there is a third one.  This time, the additional cooler was positioned behind the front engine coolant radiator and HORIZONTALLY (just like the second idiotic cooler on Z51).

How is this idiotic location and orientation suppose to work?  The air flow coming from where?  Hmmm... SHIT FOR BRAINS pretty much sums up the flagship, Juechter and the rest of the engineering team.

Oh yeah... the air circulating through the front radiator should work wonders for this transmission cooler.  Certainly, this is some creative engineering right here.

The way things shape up, the newest flagship is well on its way to become not just the biggest failure and most track incapable Corvette ever but also the most idiotically designed one as well.

Will GM release new weight distribution figures and how will this suffice for the convertible version of the Z06?  LOL

  1. they can put 5 coolers in this car,and it will still be junk, and unable to be driven harder than 3 minutes.

  2. If you want a street legal track car, you start with a track car and detune it and civilize it a bit, not the other way around; this is why Porsche 911 GT3 works on the track and Z06 does not.
