Tacky Corvette C7 Stingray owners continue with ostentatious UPGRAYEDDS to their cars...

and making David Asselhoff, uhm Hasselhoff proud in the process.  In fact, if another attempt to revive the Knight Rider is ever considered, all the producers have to do is borrow a C7 Corvette Stingray or Z06 owner, saving themselves a chunk of money.  Yup, there is absolutely no need to reinvent the KITT, the senile C7 owners already beat everyone else to the punch.



Perhaps +General Motors can follow up on this idea and instead of the LED bullshit, +Tadge Juechter can employ epilepsy inducing strobes instead?  This way, there is no need to worry about overheating or any other form of mechanical or electronic let down to the buyers?  After all, Tadge already declared that function follows the form with this generation of Corvette and realistically, it would be pretty fucking hard to make the new Corvette more visually repulsive than the way it comes from GM.   Although there seem to be plenty of C7 buyers who continue to try...

  1. I fail to see the point. LEDs in splitter seem a bit odd but what's the knightrider connection? for what it's worth, I think a black Z06 (C7 or C6) with a KITT scanner would be pretty cool (yup, loved knightrider as a kid), so maybe I'm a bit of a geek ;-)

      but a suggestion here: instead of going on about vette owners bad taste (and I agree some of them are just silly but then there are others who go about it with quite a bit of taste) and lashing out at the vette team in general, why not return to the factual arguments? You had a good thing going there. A CFD comparison of the C6 and the C7 to show the silliness of the "extreme drag is proof of the extreme downforce" argument would be welcome if it could be arranged considering how the magazines don't seem to know what they're talking about and just keep buying whatever crap GM feed them

    2. Consider this a part of the entertainment. Although bad taste is not limited to Corvette owners, in this case, it signifies the set of priorities buyers have and the reason why Corvette is where it is-at the dead end while its designers and engineers continue to feed the general public with more bullshit.

  2. What makes the C7 Z06 so bad other than the mechanical is the horrid body kit. I call it a body kit, since it looks like a poorly design one(hello Mitsubishi Eclipse). What is with the bushwacker fender flares (cheap) and the worse is the poor attempt at a splitter, that they just added to the bottom of the normal C7 plastic piece. I like the look of the regular vette in black much better than the Z06.

    Nothing works on this car, the aero should help the car cool, and limit drag, not overheat and has more drag than a 1950 F-150.

    It is sad that Consumer Reports has Porsche in the top 10 reliable cars and GM is on the bottom, oh times have changed

    1. New Z06 is not a new car, it is just a supercharged Stingray with some tacky body add ons to accommodate wider track and tires. Right on with the aero, it adds more drag than usable downforce and fails to channel air to keep the engine cool at high speeds.
