Chrysler's Jeep Wrangler Trail Cat mocks Corvette C7 Z06 in more than one way...

On the surface, any comparisons between the latest Chrysler concept vehicle, Jeep Wrangler Trail Cat and the latest and at least according to a lunatic named +Tadge Juechter , the greatest Corvette ever may seem preposterous but this is really not the case at all.  As a matter of fact, the newest take on the perpetually obsolete Jeep Wrangler manages to rip the alleged "certified supercar" not just one but several new assholes.

How is this possible?  How could a lowly Jeep Wrangler manage to make the most capable Corvette ever look even more like a piece of shit than it already is?

For starters, these two cars have a few things in common, specifically a supercharged V8 engine and set of fender flares (there is also a matter of interior design but let us concentrate on the first two things first).  Furthermore, both vehicles are body on frame designs,  Also, both vehicles use solid front and rear axles (yes, Corvette fanatics and GM like to claim IRS but in reality, the transverse LS based suspension has more in common with solid axle than IRS).

Unlike with the likely most idiotic application of fender flares? extensions? found on the +General Motors latest flagship, the flares on the Trail Cat are fully functional, without limiting wheel travel or looking cheap and out of place.

Then of course, there is the supercharged Hellcat engine, already superior in its Challenger and Hellcat applications and obviously not letting the Trail Cat down, either.

One cannot help but wonder if GM was dumb enough to copy Chrysler and used the LT4 on a Trail Cat GM equivalent, how long would the overheating turd last in the rough road application, without leaving the occupants stranded and even more SOL than this happens with the "certified supercar"?

As a bonus, the Trail Cat has a four wheel traction assurance and six speed MANUAL TRANSMISSION that will not leave the driver wonder about the gear selected by chance.

Ironically enough and mocking the cheesy Corvette C7 interior, the interior of  the Trail Cat is right down impressive,

The interior is well laid out, with form following the function and without resorting to Tupperware party leftovers scavenging and bargain bin at the local uphosltery supply store.  Even more ironically, the seats the Trail Cat sports are leaps and bounds over the junk found in the newest Corvettes.

And the looks department?  The stylists from Chrysler definitely nailed the subject of their exercise.

Of course, the Trail Cat offers a couple of extra points, even further mocking the "certified supercar":

A set of adjustable coilovers

And full roll over protection, both MIA on Corvette "flagship...
