2017 Chevrolet Corvette Safety and Convenience Features vs. 2017 Porsche 911

Among all the delusional claims that +Tadge Juechter and +General Motors marketing team have been making since the seventh generation of Corvette was first introduced, the claim of C7 being a true GLOBAL CAR and one that is comparative to the Porsche 911 but at better price continue to surface like a case of herpes.

As this blog pointed out long time ago, the notion of the global car died when right hand drive did not enter the list of options for the C7 along with the lack of turbo based small displacement overhead cam engine option that just about everyone else seems to be practicing these days, including the alleged arch rival Porsche 911.

What Corvette buyers gained as the result of this idiotic idea was the undersized supercharger turd, along with the front fangs and everyone already knows how well these two idiocies worked out for the newest Corvette.

However, there is one other area in which the newest generation of Corvette never even came close to becoming a  global car, especially one that could possibly sway buyers who would otherwise purchase the newest Porsche 911: a matter of safety and convenience features offered to the potential customers.

So... going down the list of Porsche 911 safety and convenience features, both standard and optional:

- adaptive cruise control
- front collision avoidance assistance
-  blind spot monitoring
-  lane change assistance
-  parking assistance (synced with the steering wheel movement)
-  hydraulic front end lift
-  rear camera
-  all wheel drive

And how about 2017 Corvette?

- front and rear cameras
- blind spot monitoring system, available  from Corvette   premium supplier, Pep Boys.

- in parking assistance (in carbon fiber finish, from Pep Boys, of course):

  1. If UAW adopted Porsche standards the corvette would not exist
