A guy who calls himself Topo, operating a business called TS Designs and affiliated with Forgiato wheels has been very busy widening among many other cars, the latest generation of Corvette. This blog paid him the well deserved homage in the past but apparently there is a new twist to this story.
Maybe not a twist but rather a logical follow up, with Topo hacking up the newest flagship C7 Z06.
Of course cannot blame Topo for cashing in on the demand for bad taste, there is no limit to bad taste among Corvette enthusiasts and there is profit to be made.
The ironic part here is that if Topo teamed up with someone with a clue, his cheesy hack job could perform some much needed function to the overheating and heat soaking piece of shit that +Tadge Juechter insists is a pinnacle of +General Motors engineering abilities.
Just for starters, it is unclear if Topo makes his own front bumper or rigs the OEM but as with the previous Stingray hack job, this dude had a great opportunity to create a clean bumper/front splitter design, eliminating the idiotic fangs and lower the pressure center of the front of the car. The other missed opportunity was the front intake. If Topo had a clue or ask someone with a clue, this air intake could have been increase and additional inlets dedicated to split IC bricks could be used.
Then Topo missed the chance to evacuate the heat more effectively, yes, he bumped up the heigh of the center hood "hump" and included some extra vents but this could have been done to actually function instead making it look like an extra credit project at Tijuana high school auto shop.
Really too bad Topo is so clueless but the guy is not paid for thinking and apparently there are idiots out there willing to pay for the pointless exercise in car body hacking and bloating.
Ironically enough, Topo managed to get rid off the Bushwacker fender extenders, not because they offended him but because he already had the jigs for the Stingray conversion. Nevertheless, the end justifies the means.
Interestingly enough, not a single aftermarket Corvette supplier undertook the task of revising the front bumper and fenders. There is lots of money to be made and in more than one way, since the shitty cooling is directly related to inferior body design. Apparently, the idiots who own these pieces of shit prefer to embrace OEM failure than change it and profit driven aftermarket gladly obliges.
Does the Topo hack job improve cooling situation? Not a chance, especially since this particular car claims to offer 880 hp engine upgrade.
And the price for this hack job? A cool 175 grand!!! Without any doubt, there is a tool out there who will buy this piece of shit...
And for those who prefer the base Stingray hack job? As usual, Topo and Forgiato have a few handy, for the same price...
BTW, the white Z06 has 500 miles on it, no doubt a Forgiato demo, this piece of shit would be even more otherwise.
Hey Topo, Walt Disney pictures called and would like to use your cars in the next Tron movie
