Tadge Juechter and General Motors playing the numbers game with the weight of 2015 Corvette C7 Z06

No matter what spin can  +General Motors  marketers put on the 2015 Corvette C7 Z06, it is a true porker, heaviest ever performance version of any Corvette, especially that previous generation that Juechter was so eager to declare obsolete.

However, as heavy as this supposedly "accidentally" leaked out weight is,  the reality is that the actual car can be considerably heavier and what was released is a diversion, providing the most optimistic weight scenario.

For the coupe, the released weight is an obscene 3524 pounds of light weight technology.

What does this weight figure really means?  What it means is a lowest trim level Z06 (only driver seat powered and no navigation), with lowest level of ground effects and CERAMIC BRAKES and MANUAL TRANSMISSION.  Pretty funny combination of options?  Yes indeed, considering that for the track use, the car would have to include the highest level of ground effects.  Perhaps this is the quarter mile edition?

What happens when the highest level of interior options, full power seats, navigation, highest level of ground effects and automatic transmission are included on a car without Z07 option?  Without ceramic brakes but with all other options and automatic transmission, the Z06 will add 200 pounds, weighing in Camaro like 3724 pounds!!!  Now, this is a porker.  Of course conveniently enough, +Tadge Juechter will never mention this part, just like he never mentions the 0-60 and ET for the cars equipped with manual transmission.
