General Motors fails to deliver 50/50 weight distribution on 2015 Corvette C7 Z06

If there is one bullshit story that has prevailed through the last generations of Corvette, it has to be the 50/50 weight distribution that no matter what version of the car it may be, it is always there.

In the real world, the issue of this perfect weight distribution does not play out like the +General Motors marketers would like the potential buyers to perceive but it is a fact that GM always makes sure to publish it in its sales brochures and douchebags like +Tadge Juechter continue to spout off 24/7.

Even though this subject and the falsity of the claim has been mentioned here on many occasions, it is still a subject worth of reiterating, especially considering the recent Motor Trend sponsored beating the Z06 turd took from no other than Nissan GTR Nismo.

Without any doubt, absolutely nobody noticed this little jewel listed by Motor Trend that consisted of another weight distribution measurement of the flagship.  As expected, Motor Trend came up with 51/49 distribution that agrees with the observations made on this blog but completely disagrees with the GM bullshit.

Just a thought here for Tadge Juechter and the rest of the Corvette team: learn some honesty and show integrity while spouting off in circles regarding the newest Z06.  The weight distribution is not the end to all performance requirements but honest representation of the product marketed by GM could gain some much needed respect for the company plagued by such extensive PR fiascos.

Again, an honest disclosure is considerably more impressive than even the most creative make believe bullshit.  Get a clue Tadge.

  1. I never did like the GM ideal of putting one heavy bit up front and the other heavy bit out back to get a 50/50 ratio. The center of gravity is going to be a moving point when you start turning, braking, etc. I might be wrong, but seems better to have all the weight in the center to start off with.

    1. According to physics, the closer you are to center of mass, the better. May have something to do with moment arm, LOL. Weight distribution alone is not all that important, as demonstrated by GTR outhandling the Z06 but if GM makes a marketing point out of it, they better make sure it is true. You may be on to something, considering the excessive oversteer this car shows.
