The heat is on for 2015 Corvette C7 Z06, the most track capable Corvette ever, LOL

No, this is not a compliment paid to a hot car, just a statement of fact that the newest +General Motors bargain supercar runs hot and in fact, it is the hottest running Corvette ever-quite a distinction right there and a far cry from the image of the most track capable Corvette ever +Tadge Juechter has been projecting on the ignorant Corvette enthusiasts and buyers.

Considering all the hot air Juechter has been blowing out of his ass for many months now, it is only fitting the newest flagship is full of hot air as well and in the literal meaning of this phrase, as a matter of fact.

Higher NORMAL operating temperatures of the modern IC engines are a very unfortunate result of emmission control regulations or more accurately, manufacturers trying to spend as little as possible to comply with them.  The hotter the combustion, the more complete it is, this is a matter of not even any science, just common sense (a commodity that is a rarity among Corvette fanatics for some reason).

Back in 2005, Corvette made a jump from 186 degree thermostat to one opening at 195 degrees.  Of course, this was done to reduce the emissions and never widely advertised by GM but... what followed with the introduction of the Z51 option and later Z06 were very effective coolant, engine oil and transmission upgrades.  Yes, the cars still would run at higher temperatures, with engine oil hovering in the upper 280's on a hot summer day, but they were never ever approaching 320 degrees as the engine oil seems to be doing quite consistently on the new flagship.  What is even more surprising but only to the buyers addicted to GM kool aid, is the fact that the manual transmission can overheat as well, something that was a rare exception on the previous generation of Corvette.

This blog pointed out long time ago that the center tunnel cover, trapping exhaust system within an enclosure was a stupid idea, likely to create problems related to torque tube longevity and transmission overheating.  Since the reports of both automatic and manual transmissions running super hot on base Stingray, Z51 and now, Z07 flagship continue to surface, unfortunately but not surprisingly, this idiotic design seems to cause problems as expected, in spite of that moronic front mounted HORIZONTAL cooler that appeared on the flagship Z06.

So what is in store for the most track capable Corvette ever?  The likely scenario is GM doing jackshit about the problem just because the waxer crowd is the buying majority while the usual aftermarket suspects will be cashing in on another engineering failure the newest flagship has in abundance.  The problem with aftermarket upgrades is of course the fact that the already heavy porker will get even heavier while the aftermarket geniuses will be cashing in on overpriced half ass solutions to the EFFECT, without understanding or tackling the CAUSE.
