As already mentioned in this blog on numerous occasions, the +General Motors marketing story regarding newest generation's of Corvette 50/50 weight is another case of wishful thinking and more bullshit coming from +Tadge Juechter and his team.
Since Corvette C7 Z06 already failed to deliver AT LEAST 50/50 specification, how bad is it now, after that additional automatic transmission cooler went under the engine radiator? How about that extra transmission fluid? How is the weight of the flagship altogehter? Still within the originally quoted figures?
As it is right now, the newest flagship and its lowly base Z51 Stingray received that extra cooler but somehow neither the weight or weight distribution figures have changed at all? Hmmm...
To further compound the problem, considering the magnitude of overheating disaster and a few aftermarket suppliers and owner tools considering increasing the radiator size and capacity, where is this going to end?
Although it is a futile effort, EVEN if these attempts succeeded, would these pieces of shit still consider track capable cars? Catch-22 here is that if the newest Corvettes become even more nose heavy, they will not be even good drag strip cars since traction is king and more weight on the rear axles is more traction...
