Like with any other car made by +General Motors , an upscale version of a care, no matter how much more it costs, it is still subject to the same shitty quality materials and workmanship as the basic version of the car.
The case in point is the newest Corvette "flagship", C7 Z06. Considering that the base Stingray can be had for about 50 grand while the "flagship" can easily exceed 100 grand, it is more than fair to assume that the flagship buyers end up paying TWICE AS MUCH as the Stingray buyers.
However, like with anything else that can be found on the newest plastic fantastic generation, paying twice as much for the car does not translate into getting twice as much quality and material upgrades as the bottom of the Corvette food chain piece of shit. In fact, it is exactly the same and just as shitty.
If the assembly and paint and fitment problems were not bad enough, the interior of the flagship is there to make the buyers even more miserable.
As mentioned in the past, the Stingray uses some truly shitty upholstery materials, especially "leather", allowing these great cars to fall apart at a rate that gives its street (alleged) prowness sizeable run for the money. In other words, these cars fall apart as fast as they go...
Thus, it is not a big surprise that the same seam splitting, premature wrinkling and leather delamination take place on the cars that carry hefty six figure price tags. Given the portly nature of the typical Corvette buyers and their age related lack of prowness, it is not a matter of IF but when these seats, coveted by none other than the douchebag in charge, +Tadge Juechter as the finest technological achievement fall apart in a big hurry.
