Aftermarket Bushwacker inspired Corvette C7 Z06 "stylists" supply owners with more lipstick to dress up the proverbial Z06 pig

+Tadge Juechter and +General Motors nut huggers can proclaim the greatness of the Corvette C7 Z06 so called flagship but as long as the two dollar ghetto rigged Bushwacker fender flare imitations reside on the flagship, the car is nothing short of a corporate con job, consisting of the supercharged engine stuffed in the artificially enhanced base body, hastily forced to accommodate wider tires.

Obviously this methodology does not sit too well with at least some of the buyers and as usual, there is the Corvette aftermarket to fill in the gap.

For some mysterious reason, the Corvette flagship designers decided that a homemade looking spat added at the bottom edge of the fender can suffice as a measure to accommodate wider tires needed on the flagship.

As pointed out in the past, this idiotic solution results not in just repulsive visual experience but it also limits the suspension travel by decreasing the wheel well opening.  Stupid solution for sure.

As with anything else, upon listening to the constant whining from the buyers, stuck with the situation where front splash guards are mounted on the car, preventing the blasting effect from the debris on the road, the aftermarket decided to combine the front spat and rear splash guard into a single unit.  The problem here is that besides charging a lot for a Bushwacker style flares, the newest offering offers nothing in improving the suspension travel and car lowering departments.

One of these offerings comes from a place called Apsis which sounds a lot like ABSCESS and in this case, certainly delivers while costing shitload of money (700 bucks per piece in carbon fiber).

As already described here, the whole design looks like shit, offering absolutely no functional improvement or visual one for that matter as well.

To top it off, this horrible design piles up the so called "winglets" or front spoiler extensions on top of these flares, resulting in another visual abortion.  Clearly a case of profit driven activity, as inspired by GM.

On the other hand, there is another place, called Nowicki Designs that offers flares for the base Stingray (why? nobody really knows) that are designed somewhat different, matching the fender opening  outer edge vertical surface instead of being tucked under it.  Since the piece of shit flagship uses model specific quarter panels, it is unlikely that the rears would actually fit the Z06th although it is surprising this Nowicki guy would not offer Z06 version.

Nevertheless, the latter design looks somewhat better visually but it is still no substitute for modified quarter panel or front fender.  Of course, custom fenders may be somewhat difficult to pull off without coming up with a matching front bumper cover, and apparently nobody has a clue how to improve on the stock junk.
