20 grand for the hole in the hood, custom floor mats and C6 ZR1 supercharger is a lot of money by any standard. The real question is of course if someone with track aspirations and owning one of those +General Motors failures be assured that after contributing about 20 grand to Reese Callaway's tupee fund receive finally that MOST TRACK CAPABLE CORVETTE EVER?
Unfortunately, the answer is a resounding NO. In fact, not only not just the most track capable Corvette ever but not even a track worthy car period.
Why is that? To put it mildly, +Tadge Juechter and his crew of geniuses botched the job of creating the newest Corvette ever so bad that simply swapping the supercharger and junk like radiator or adding a truly idiotic supercharger cooling expansion tank will simply disguise the symptoms of the biggest automotive fuck up slightly, if luck allows.
As already explained here, the problem with the Z06 amounts to a domino effect, replacing just one element will work like Tylenol on a broken leg, the pain will subside a bit but the damage will be there, requiring a proper treatment.
What is really interesting is the number of people willing to plunk down serious money to buy a imposter. Does Reese really understand what is wrong with the newest flagship? Maybe he does but if he does, this Z06 UPGRAYEDD makes this matter even worse. Apparently the difference between Hennessey and Callaway amounts to Reese returning most of the parts (Callaway does keep the OEM POS supercharger). Let the good times roll, LOL.
