More information on Class Action Lawsuits filed by owners of C6 Corvette Z06 against General Motors

As already mentioned on this blog, +General Motors enjoys free publicity courtesy of a class action lawsuit filed by the owners of Corvette C6 Z06 and 427 cars.  The problem, resulting from premature valve guide wear, causing exhaust valves to casually drop out and demolishing the fine otherwise engines has never been addressed by fixing the cause, defective head machining and inferior parts but rather, dealt with by warranty repairs (where warranty was still in effect), replacing defective heads and valvetrains experiencing failures or destroyed engines, with equally defective parts.

This problem affects generation 5 Camaro Z28 and countless LS7 crate engines installed in a variety of vehicles.  Of course, the only effective fix, replacing OEM heads with aftermarket heads using heavy duty quality parts eliminates a possibility of GM responsibility.

Considering the number of C6 Z06 owners purchasing extended GM warranties, one cannot help but wonder if the lack of a factory fix is the result of the classic GM FUCK YOU attitude or perhaps a calculated move to increase the extended warranty sales... Nah, just kidding, this is typical GM, fucking car buyers over in every possible way and hiding problems as long as possible-until the shit hits the fan!!!

Like with any class action suit, lawyers win but at least, the matter is making the news outside of the typical Corvette nuthugger circles on the internet and should make schmucks considering buying either the Stingray or C7 Z06 in light of the fact these cars are considerably worse pieces of shit than the ailing previous Z06.

Without any doubt, GM would be taking exactly the same approach, waving middle finger at the buyers of the newest Corvettes, keeping fingers crossed the dumb buyers either modify their cars or have their cars break down after the warranty expires.
