After very consistent and persistent problems with +General Motors newest flagship, C7 Z06, +Tadge Juechter no longer spouts off about creating the "most track capabable Corvette ever" and instead, insists on creating a "certified supercar".
Apparently this small setback did not stop GM marketing department from pursuing that track car venue. Instead of using that supercharged aerodynamic brick and certified piece of shit all around, the newest attempt involves the lowly Corvette C7 Stingray. Although the car has changed, the stupidity and incompetence of GM and Juechter have not.
Not only is the new "track car" less powerful than the previous track car Corvette C6 Z06 but it is also heavier and less aerodynamic as well. So what constitutes a track car according to the newest attempt by Juechter?
The list is very confusing but it seems that scavenged bits from failed flagship are the core of this "concept".
Among the items included in the concept are larger brakes (more weight), larger transmission primary cooler (more weight), T1 suspension (more weight from larger sway bars), secondary radiator (more weight), quarter panel vents (more weight and drag), Z06 aero (more weight and considerably more drag), carbon fiber braces (less weight) and carbon fiber torque tube (less weight),racing slicks and wheels (neutral).
The total pricetag for the track UPGRAYEDD is about 22k and in return, the happy customer gets the following:
Absolutely no horsepower increase
Imminent problems with AFM valvetrain
Shitload of ghetto vinyl stickers
About 80 lbs weight gain
About 15% increase in air drag
Absolutely no factory warranty on the entire car
Guaranteed loss of resale value of whatever the piece of shit was worth before
The question here is of course, in spite of being the quintessential car idiots, are the Corvette owners really stupid enough to spend the money on this racket? Is Juechter seriously expecting anyone to embrace this joke? What is the real purpose of this idiotic track concept? A great Nurburgring lap time, higher than what the failed Z06 could manage?
Here is a recommendation for Tadge, why not switch to designing golf carts? No worries about overheating or Nurburgring lap times this way. Seriously Tadge, why don't you consider another job?
On a serious note now, this idiotic stunt makes both Dodge Viper ACR and Mustang 350R looking better and better...

OMG!!!!! Hot wheels die cast cars have less graphics and more taste. If someone really buys that piece of shit I will literally laugh my ass off at them. That is really UGLY
ReplyDeleteyup, those vinyl stickers better make this joke go faster, especially with that barn door on the rear and no extra power. GM just made bad worse.
