There is no doubt that +Tadge Juechter is not capable running a taco stand, and even less so, +General Motors Corvette program. Nothing shows this situation better than Juechter's approach to handling the well established overheating issues that is slated to become just as much of a failure as the Corvette C7 itself.
To make clear, this douchebag, along with the brainless Corvette buying majority never even acknowledged there was a problem, insisting instead that the C7 Corvette, especially the new Z06 flagship performed as designed, perfectly capable of using up a full tank of gas on the track, with the ambient temperature up to 86 degrees.
For the record, Juechter never admitted overheating problems related to the engine, supercharger, manual and automatic transmission and power assisted steering. As well documented by now, all of these components overheat routinely, at temperatures well below that bogus 86 degrees.
Considering this situation, it should be a surprise that GM just announced cooling improvements to the current Z06. Why would anyone offer upgrades to something that is not broken? And why wasn't it Juechter making this announcement? Too much of a chicken shit, afraid to admit to personal failure?
Nevertheless, here is the GM solution to one of the overheating problems: engine. Does the solution consist of revised engine and block to improve cooling passages? NO...
Does the solution consist of revised front bumper, hood and relocated intercooler and oil cooler? NO!!!
So what is this solution? The solution consists of nothing less than a secondary engine radiator. Furthermore, this secondary radiator is available for manual transmission cars? Why? Because the automatic Z06 and Stingrays do not overheat? Of course they do but... there is no room to install this idiotic second radiator in automatics because the automatic transmission cooler is already up front. This transmission cooler is another stupid design, considering it is horizontal and with no air circulation but apparently good enough for Juechter. Even though GM does not disclose the actual location, it is not difficult to figure out where it will go, especially since it is for manual transmission cars only.
Long time ago, this blog predicted that any attempt to fix the problems with the newest Corvettes will just add more weight, making the weight distribution even worse while accomplishing absolutely nothing. Apparently Tadge Juechter has no problems with following this path...
Fortunately for Juechter, his incompetence is safe with his corporate leash holders and dumb Corvette owners... For everyone else, a failed remedy would be considerably worse than not doing anything at all. Absolutely amazing how much stupidity and ignorance there is in anything even remotely related to the newest Corvette.

Tadge, here is a thought: why not discontinue defrauding those dumb customers by selling Z07 and Z51 options to the buyers of automatics? Understandably GM likes to make the extra profit but making those options available on the automatics is nothing less than fraud, no matter how stupid those buyers really are.
GM was playing out the potential customers with grandeur of the Most Track Capable Corvette Ever, and bet that the idiots who bought these would only brag about its track performance and its 650 hp rating while it sat in the garage and not on the track. Eat Crow Tadge, you and the bean counters were dead WRONG! I wish there was a website updating purchase to failure ratings. How about a reality show that shows a freshly broke in Z06 heading to the track. Let's call the show "Drive it home or Tow it Home. A new caution sticker should be placed on the door jam. Track mode is hazardous to your engine better leave it at home to brag about instead
