On January 1, 2016, Ron Fellow and his Performance Driving School in Spring Mountain will inherit the dubious honor of being the exclusive high performance driving school using +General Motors cars, including the seventh generation Corvette as the designated high performance vehicle (unless someone insists that Hertz Car Rental can be considered driving school's equivalent, haha.)
Why dubious? Because the other widely recognized driving school, Bondurant High Performance Driving School currently has a fire sale on its remaining C7 cadavers before switching to full Mopar line up that includes the newest Dodge Viper ACR.
Thus, Ron Fellows by default, became the standard issue driving school for the buyers of the newest Corvette who wish to explore the potential of their new cars beyond the drag strip and cars and coffee cruises.
But... there seems to be a problem here and something that must bug the shit out of not just GM marketing department but +Tadge Juechter himself....
Somehow, Ron Fellows appears to be boycotting and belittling the newest Corvette flagship, C7 Z06.
To be fair, nobody who understands the problems related to the newest flagship would be questioning Fellows boycott of the newest flagship, however, this must be very little comfort for the people who were dumb enough to spend their cash or their loan to buy the newest and the greatest Corvette.
Here is the proof of how Ron Fellows feels about the Corvette C7 Z06, including both its track potential and legitimate horsepower bragging rights.
According to Ron Fellows, the guy who apparently sold his soul to GM, the most powerful Corvette ever is still the previous generation's C6 ZR1 and as a matter of fact, it is still the pinnacle of driving skills for any Corvette owner.
Although Ron Fellows fell from automotive grace by whoring out his name with so called Ron Fellows vinyl stripe edition of C6, his honesty and candor may just redeem his previously tarnished reputation. Apparenty Fellows did not take long to figure out how much of a piece of shit the newest flagship is and what the chances of this car to remain on his course while above the limp mode speed may be... At least one guy gets what the newest flagship really is, LOL...
On the bright side, Fellows made a smart choice, avoiding overtime for the tow truck drivers.
