As this blog mentioned in the past and on many occasions, +Tadge Juechter and his team managed to turn the already visually repulsive +General Motors Corvette C7 Stingray into a certified visual abortion, called Corvette C7 Z06.
However, if the original design looks like shit, piecemealed and patched, the resourceful aftermarket continues to offer the means to make the bad considerably worse.  Clueless?  Lazy?  Or perhaps just following the factory hack job theme?  Difficult to tell but not so with the aftermath of such pieces being installed on the car.
The lack of cohesion and integration, the same same problem that plagues the original design certainly cannot be missed in this example, offered by none other than Apsis, a fine aftermarket supplier of gaudiness and highly priced automotive kitsch, after punishing the previous generation of Corvette.
To the credit of the fine almost English speaking folks at Apsis, they are not alone, with another vendor and manufacturer, ACS, offering just as offensive selection of the splash guards for the latest generation of Corvette.   Apparently, the selling point is supposedly the width of these abominations, protecting the quarter panels and rockers of the newest Stingray and Z06 from the road shrapnel.
Now, how difficult would it be to INTEGRATE these pieces into the rocker panel extensions?  Not very complicated at all but obviously, whoever designed these pieces of shit had no such concept on their mind and apparently the dim witted C7 owners have no clue either.
This is how it should look, not only integrated but extending below the rocker panel extensions and underneath of the car to really provide protection but... this apparently must be the best kept secret among Corvette enthusiasts who posses no practical skills to come up with their own alternative to the aftermarket offerings.  On the bright side, cannot fix the lazy and the stupid...
As long as this trend continues, the source of entertainment will never disappear and this blog extends its gratitude to the tools willing to pay for this junk and then install it on their fine rides.

Did someone steal the mud flaps off of my uncles 1984 passenger van, should have went for the naked lady mirror mud flaps instead. Only the hillbilly that bought the vette would probably take my advice. Upgrayed
