However, this Corvette based speed record breaker will make only owners of the previous, 6th generation of Corvette happy since Genovation joined the ranks of other specialty car makers and chose the previous generation's Z06 car as the basis for its creation while completely ignoring the latest and at least according to +Tadge Juechter , greatest engineering achievement on four wheels.
What is unique about the Genovation GXE however, is the fact that instead of avoiding the flawed LT engines and transmissions that continue to make lives of Corvette C7 Stingray and C7 Z06 miserable (while keeping lemon law attorneys very busy), the reason for picking the previous generation Z06 was the superior aerodynamics, chassis rigidity and design allowing already lightweight car to shed even more weight, allowing installation of a heavy electric drivetrain.
Although aerodynamics and weight are very important for any high performance car, they gain much greater importance when the car relies on electricity to power it up, especially where range is considered.
Thus, unlike with the VLF and Arash cars, the relatively slippery shape and smart weight reducing engineering led by Dave Hill's team received another accolade, completing the validation and vindication process for the previous generation of the Chevrolet Corvette, generation that will go down in the automotive history as the crown achievement of the classic front engine Corvette development.
To make clear, the aerodynamics of the C6 are far from being perfect (the drag coefficient of the C6 Z06 of 0.34 pales in comparison to Genovationcars' own G2 "econo" project and its 0.2 Cd. However, considering how truly shitty aerodynamics of the C7 cars really are, obviously Genovation guys had no problem with realizing this part.
On the bright side, given the $335k price tag, owners of the latest C7 Z06 can relax somewhat before being humiliated in the next penis size comparison, unless they happen to be unfortunate enough to run into someone who fiendishly decided to modify their C6 Z06 "obsolete" car or even worse, should they run into a C6 ZR1.
The thing worth noting is the fact that unlike Tadge Juechter who truly bastardized the piece of shit he claims to be a "certified supercar" with an automatic transmission, a true piece of shit called 8l90, the C6 Z06 based real supercar GXE uses a real MANUAL TRANSMISSION.
Hopefully, the Genovation does not follow through with its plan to take the GXE to Nurburgring and inspired by Juechter, "forgets" to keep its promise. Should Genovation follow up on the Nurburgring promise, the latest generation of the Corvette may receive a final blow, something no vinyl stickers and Juechter's bullshit can help at all...

It was brilliant by the way to use the C6 platform. Using a C7 corvette would have caused the battery to go into limp mode or pop out of gear before reaching top speed
