Sabine Schmitz declares Corvette C7 Z06 a "piece of shit" on the first episode of new Top Gear series on May 30, 2016

Top Gear on BBC is a lot like +General Motors seventh generation of Corvette: an obvious failure - but only to those who care to conduct at least a rudimentary reality check.  Considering that the popularity of the show relied on chemistry between three former hosts, Clarkson, May and Hammond, it does not take a genius to figure out that any follow up, rehashing the successful formula would be destined to fail.  Yet somehow, there are always simpletons out there willing to discard the reality and pretend that unwarranted optimism can be a valid substitute to facts and logic.

Well, after airing last night, the cat is out of the bag and the new Top Gear delivered as expected:  a new standard for failure and incompetence of BBC's corporate leash holders.  The new Top Gear on screen crew literally blow goats, inducing vomit instead of entertainment.

How does the new Top Gear failure fit in with the newest generation of Corvette?   For anyone capable of a minimal reality check and logic the newest Corvette, with shitty powertrain, extra weight and like a brick aerodynamics is a failure, yet somehow there are idiots out there willing to pay six figure pricetag to prove this point.

Fucking Chris Evans, a walking advertisement for intellectual blandness and bleached personality is a lot like +Tadge Juechter , accepting a job that is destined to fail, apparently kidding himself that he can prove audience wrong and swearing to his own greatness while everyone else is yawning or throwing up.

Without any doubt, both Evans and Juechter feel a sense of accomplishment, right against the reality and logic.

However, like with everything else, there is always silver lining and in case of  the disgraced new Top Gear it is about 45 seconds from the segment supposedly comparing Corvette C7 Z06 against 2016 Dodge Viper ACR.  The comparison itself is truly worthless and idiotic, setting the newest flagship plastic fantastic against the ACR in a simulated fighter plane dog fight, supposedly emulating Top Gun environment.   The problem of course is that neither of the cars can fucking fly and there is no point in locking on target with a shooting solution. What were these idiots thinking?  A simple road course would deliver considerably more meaningful entertainment but nevertheless...

But... going back to the good part, the driver of the z06 happened to be Sabine Schmitz and her reaction after finishing the stupid dog fight is quite priceless:  the new flagship is a PIECE OF SHIT.

Now this is a far cry from her experience with the previous Z06, C6 Z06:

In the end, just like Evans still will have viewers, Juechter will retain a select few numbnuts swearing to the greatness of the latest Corvette flagship but for those who feel otherwise, Sabine Schmitz will agree with them.

The bottom line:  just like the embarrassment C7 Corvette, Top Gear should be put out of its misery.  Maybe Juechter and Evans can do something productive for a change?  Blow each other?

  1. I hear Evans is history for the next series. Thank God. That guy is a complete tool. Unfortunately, I don't think his termination will save the show. The jokes/humour etc. just seem so forced and scripted. The delivery is completely unnatural. I just don't think they picked the right people to take the wheel. It also pisses me off that they use a lot of the same format from the previous show. Couldn't they come up with something original? And what, no road trips to far off lands in pieces of shit? Of course not. Matt LeBlanc et al. would never agree to something out of their "comfort zone". Wankers.

  2. PS: Americans should never try to pull off British humour.....EVER!!!! (I'm looking at you Matt LeBlanc) It's called British humour for a reason. Stick to what you know, "How you doin'?".......
