Is General Motors FULLY DELUSIONAL?

My sides hurt from laughing pretty hard after reading this article, especially this section:

The all-new Stingray composite materials were developed specifically for the seventh-generation Corvette,” he said during a presentation at the 48th annual conference. "In fact, the Corvette is the world leader in composite material development and technology."
Regiec, who was one of six speakers on what automakers are doing to lightweight vehicles, used the seventh-generation Corvette as one examples of how the Detroit-based automaker is lowering the weight of its vehicles without scarifying safety, performance or styling."

Mike Regiec should seek professional help considering C7 is 90 lbs heavier than its technologically inferior predecessor, in its BASE form.  In its Z51 version, C7 porker is 190 lbs heavier.  Now, if this is progress, then let us all regress.  The cars would benefit from this regress and so would buyers looking for real sports cars.  No doubt that numbnuts from +GMAuthority  like +Alex Luft and the other two brainwashed morons, +Manoli Katakis and Alex Sizeland will cheer this failure just as much as the sheep on +CorvetteForum .

Looking forward to 4000 lbs C7 behemoth as more progress will be made.  LMAO
