Yes, in spite of claims made by +General Motors marketing team regarding new Corvette being a huge sales success, the actual sales figures say otherwise, confirming this car's failure is imminent and a matter of WHEN instead of IF.
Barely 2200 Corvettes sold in January vs. 3050 in December. Of course what this information skips is the fact that buyers have a choice of buying new C6 cars still clogging up the lots around the country and the actual breakdown of C6 vs. C7 numbers is of course missing from GM.
And here is a legitimate request to +Tadge Juechter: kindly provide actual C7 sales figures, not overall Corvette sales that include many many C6 Corvettes still sitting on dealers lots.
A simple math calculation indicates that there were already at least 14 000 new Corvettes made. The sales figures indicate that less than half were sold but is that estimate actually an optimistic one? A quick visit to a local dealer indicates that the particular dealer has been sitting now for over a month on the single Corvette C7 this dealer has. How much worse is the real truth?
