If the stock Corvette Stingray was not already the quintessential definition of gaudy and garish styling, the buyer of the car are very busy assuring the bar of good taste can be set even lower, hitting the absolute bottom, as a matter of fact.
As previously illustrated by another tasteless owner who literally defaced his new Corvette here , good taste is not a good priority to Stingray owners but apparently, there is never enough bad taste to go around.
The part that is truly puzzling is the ongoing contradiction between the C7 buyers proclaiming their uncontested devotion to the newest Corvette and its questionable styling cues only to follow it with an immediate attempt to hang as much self adhesive vinyl trickery as humanly possible.
Here is a very graphic example of such activity. To the credit of the car's owner, the already grotesque appearance of the Stingray can indeed be made considerably more grotesque and cartoonish and all it take is a liberal application of vinyl stickers.
What is even more ironic is the other trend among the Stingray owners, stripping the clearcoat on their cars in a very desperate attempt to remove the prevailing orange peel that reigns supreme among the C7 cars. Why exactly bother to spend money and time to remove the paint from the car only to cover the car next with those vinyl stickers that without any doubt will peel in the future, either leaving a permanent imprint in the depleted paint or pull the remaining paint off with the stickers?
