Going down the list of INITIAL Corvette C7 Stingray problems (so far...)

1. Rear differential-incorrect level of fluid leading to destruction of both mechanical and electronic     limited slip assembly.

2. Electronic limited slip differential-failing on account of incorrect fluid level and defective electro-hydraulic components, including solenoid.

3. Torque tube-carrier bearings failing due to parts defects, excessive vibrations in 4 cylinder mode and incorrectly designed heat shield/tunnel plate.

4. Crankshaft thrust bearing failure (LT1 replacement necessary) due to improper torque tube installation (a result of repairs to correct items 2 and 3).

5. Hydraulic serpentine belt tensioner failure.

6. Valve cover gasket leak-due to improper assembly of engine.

7. Malfunctioning/sticking check valve in PCV system leading to camshaft seal failure (most common in aftermarket supercharging applications).

8. Engine oil present in intake manifold and associated components on Z51 equipped cars, due to overfilled dry sump engine oiling systems.

9. Malfunctioning and failing steering wheel controls-improper assembly procedures.

10. Malfunctioning informational and entertainment display unit-inferior components used.

11. Excessive and inconsistent body panel gaps-defective body panels, improper assembly methods.

12. Incorrect 4 wheel alignment during vehicle assembly and testing.

13. Paint contamination, blotchiness, rough surface finish (orange peel), paint runs and drips-inferior materials used and unqualified personnel used.

14. Paint and body panel damage resulting from vehicle transportation and transportation cover removal.

15. Tire damage resulting from cold temperature exposure.

16. Excessive and premature tire wear-high traction tire compound and incorrect alignment.

17. Excessive engine oil consumption due to AFM effects.

LOL, this is quite a list.   To be completely fair, there should be item 17 addressing very poor +General Motors customer service, replacement parts shortage and underqualified "certified" service personnel but this is more related to the company and selling force behind the car than the car itself.

Certainly a text book example of BUYER BEWARE, if there ever was one, LOL.

Of course, this is only a small sample of initial problems, there will be considerably more problems as time goes on and miles accumulate.  Perhaps +Tadge Juechter is already interviewing qualified midgets capable of cleaning intake valves, just for starters?
