As usual, against the common sense, the +General Motors nut hugging and +Tadge Juechter worshipping Corvette enthusiasts are in for a great treat- A REALITY CHECK.
The anticipation and hype built around the newest 8-speed slush box was extremely high, with many numbnuts predicting low 11's ET results (up to 130 mph!) and low 3's for the 0-60 acceleration.
Once again, the great Corvette Wizzard Tadge failed to deliver on these expectations, even though he still continues to yap away about speed of shifts beating the self established "benchmark", Porsche PDK.
So how does this work out in the real life? Not overly impressive, as a matter of fact. The ET results are right on par with the 6-speed overheating slush turd since surprise, surprise, there are more shifts that have to take place in the those quarter mile runs than before, the transmission has to shift faster just to keep up with the currently obsolete six speed turd.
And how about those 0-60 times? Still no results available but hopefully, that claimed 0.1 second improvement can be verified by someone, besides of the Grand Wizzard Juechter and his typical bullshit assurances.
On the positive side, the new 8-speed slush box should be pretty hot. Yes, literally hot since its design promotes even more overheating than its fine predecessor. Kudos to Juechter and his followers.
