General Motors letter to Corvette C7 Stingray owners regarding PDR and Valet Mode illegal nature-more corporate stupidity

After being warned by this blog and then busted by Canadian Government for installing highly illegal WIRETAPPING device on board of the Stingray, something so stupid that only a team of idiots led by +Tadge Juechter  (the filter guy) could come up with, +General Motors  decided to issue a "clarification" letter to the buyers of PDR equipped 2015 Stingray.

However, the problem is that this letter is just as stupid as the PDR itself.  Even though the letter refers to LEGALITY of audio recording without consent, it fails to mention that it against the law and that overprotective owner of the newest plastic fantastic can be easily charged with a felony.

Also, there is one other caveat that GM as expected fails to share with the buying sheep.  Even though the consent is not required for video recording, without sound, there still has to be a REASONABLE CAUSE for such recording.  Certainly something to keep in mind, should anyone get any ideas regarding any morally questionable conduct with perhaps a passenger of hopefully, opposite sex...
