Absolutely not!!! Unlike with the previous generation of Corvette, there really is no distinct Z06 car. What +Tadge Juechter and the rest of his team in +General Motors created is in reality a Corvette Stingray with optional supercharger and few different body panels and wider tires.
Unlike with the last generation, where Z06 and ZR1 cars received separate frames, lighter body panels and fixed roofs and roof structures, this time around, the car is essentially the same. Ironically enough, in spite of using titanium valves and connecting rods and forged crankshaft, the same polymer coated bearings and half ass thrust bearings are use which is a great assurance that the same shit blowing the LT1 motors will happen to the LT4.
Since the problems with the blown motors lie in automatic transmission and problems with torque tube, these failures should be fun to watch, given the increased cost of LT4 engines.
