With all the break downs and failures, why doesn't Corvette C7 Stingray come standard with tow hooks?

This appears like another trap set by +Tadge Juechter and +General Motors to weasel out of honoring warranty claims, resulting from complete mechanical break down, somewhere in the middle of nowhere.  By now, it is an unfortunate fact of automotive life and quite a recognition: the newest Corvette needs a tow truck as often as a refueling stop.  Between cases of blown engines, blown torque tubes and rear differentials, engine overheating and sudden stalls caused by electrical problems, getting to know the tow truck driver is a matter of WHEN, not IF.

Apparently both Corvette buyers and GM are in a full state of denial since even though the car has special tow hook mounting locations, there are no hooks to be found anywhere in the car.

The owner manual for the POS called Stingray is very specific here:

Towing the Vehicle{Caution}
Incorrectly towing a disabled
vehicle may cause damage. The
damage would not be covered bythe vehicle warranty. Do not lash
or hook to any suspension
components including the
control arms, stabilizer bars, and
links during towing and
recovery of a disabled vehicle,
or when securing the vehicle to a
flatbed car carrier. For towing and
recovery of a disabled vehicle,
use the proper hooks in the
correct locations on the front and
rear sub-frames. Use the proper
nylon strap harnesses around
the tires to secure them to the
flatbed car carrier.

So what are GM and Stingray owners hoping for?  Tow truck driver carrying the tow hooks just in case a Stingray is to be towed?

This is what the hooks look like.

Like with the previous generation, the tow hooks for C7  are NOT available from GM and quite pricey from the aftermarket, at about 300 dollars for the set.  The difference between C6 and C7 though is that they were never needed with C6 while they are a NECESSITY with C7.

So what are Juechter and GM hoping for here?  Seeing how many of these C7 turds break down needing a tow, including the set with each car would be a nice gesture.  Apparently C7 buyers are SOL, trying to find these hooks from the aftermarket and they really should since GM apparently loves the idea of getting out of warranty claims, thus, these hooks will never be included with new Corvette or even available from GM.  Go figure this one.... LOL

What is really pathetic, regarding GM treatment of Corvette's major buyer group, USA buyers, the tow hooks are standard on EXPORT Stingrays, just like they were on C6, even though the major sales happen in USA as usual.  Apparently GM loves to fuck US buyers whichever way it can.
