As the owners of Corvette C6Z06 file class action lawsuit against General Motors, shit is hitting the fan for Tadge Juechter and Corvette C7 Z06

It took a long time but finally, the dupped owners of the previous Corvette Z06 and its 427 LS7 equipped derivative, Corvette C6 427 finally reached the boiling point and filed the lawsuit against +General Motors for its failure to address the inherent problem with the problematic valvetrain that caused exhaust valves to randomly fall out.  The design and machining issues were never addressed through correction to the defective parts and remedy consisted of heads and engines replacements UNDER FACTORY WARRANTY.  As soon as the factory warranty expired or when the car was modified in any way, the owners were literally SOL and this problem continues until this day, creating new candidates among the owners of the Camaro Z28.

On a personal note, after getting rid of my fine C6 Z06 while sustaining a serious financial damage, perhaps there is a way to hold GM responsible for this part as well?

Nevertheless, how does this affect the current C7 Z06 and its owners?  Unfortunately, the current Z06 is considerably worse than the predecessor or predecessors (it is a 2fer combining not just Z06 but ZR1 in one car as well or maybe even a 3fer since with retarded timing, the flagship is really a new Grand Sport) and of course, as usual, both +General Motors and +Tadge Juechter  do absolutely nothing to correct the growing problems.

Sounds familiar?  Of course it does and when combined with a blatant case of not just deceptive but outright fraudulent marketing, the lawsuit should be there already.  Granted, the kool aid runs strong in the veins of the GM nuthuggers but this was the same exact case with the C6 Z06 owners who are currently suing.

This blog will watch the whole situation closely since not just for the sake of making public aware but for personal reasons as well.  Very peculiar situation with the history repeating itself while the situation is even worse.

  1. I have owned two corvettes both older models and after what I have read here and the rest of the net I can honestly say I would never buy a newer one. I actually liked the C6 Z06 until I started to research the LS engines and the amount of problems they are having. Now a possible class action lawsuit brewing, only a complete idiot would invest in one. I feel sorry for the current owners having to watch these ticking time bombs rapidly depreciate due to yet another mistake made by GM. Wake up people and do your research, the new Z06 is headed down the same path. More mass produced JUNK!

    1. I have had 4 Corvettes, one C5 and three C6, including a Z06. For various reasons, I took them apart quite extensively so I am somewhat familar with these cars. I agree that the newest ones are ticking time bombs. Under Juechter, these cars went in the wrong direction.

  2. Glad Corvette fans are not like the typical GM pole smoker fanboys and fighting back.

  3. Peter MJ please keep us updated on the growing number of fucked over C6 Z06 owners. It will be great to tell GM nuthuggers to fuck off since they are minimizing this story.
