With several of disguised +General Motors Corvette cars being intercepted by automotive journalists, the speculation runs high as to what they really are. The speculations are just as wild as the desperation of the typical Corvette nut huggers expecting +Tadge Juechter to finally redeem himself from the C7 embarrassment, presenting the ultimate fix. Thus, there are rumors of a ZR1 designated "real supercar" as well as rumors of a super Z06 edition, distinguished by Z06X designation, one that would actually endure track duties and allow GM to finally supply an impressive Nurburgring lap time.
Apparently none of this is true and the reality may be quite a shocker to the numbnuts expecting first GM to admit the C7 cluster fuck and then offer a fix and even more so, further development.
What this apparently is, a small number of C8 mules, sporting taller hoods and truly unsightly rear wings. According to insider sources, the mules required taller hoods for a quite shocking reason, they do not use the LT V8 sourced engines but instead, advanced versions of twin turbo V6 engines, typically associated with Cadillac, with 3.0 and 3.6 liter displacements.
Seems like Corvette followers may be receiving a double whammy, with the engines lacking two cylinders and then still being in front of the senior citizen driver.
Considering that after Dodge Viper finally is put out to the pasture with 2017 production year, there will be no other car in the sports car category that still uses a pushrod configuration, it is pretty obvious that GM may be finally getting the message through. A bit late but considering it is GM and the same idiotic and incompetent Corvette design team, impressive nevertheless.
