Is Tadge Juechter too stupid to come up with a Corvette C7 Stingray designed for a drag strip?

Asking rhetorically of course because it is pretty obvious he certainly is.

As much as +Tadge Juechter likes to brag about handling characteristics of the newest Corvette making it a self proclaimed king of the track and road course (apparently Tadge missed the Z28 memo?), the reality of this car like any other Corvette before it is that the penis undersized Stingray owners will be adding the missing manhood inches at their local drag strips instead of racing their car on the track.

What is needed for a car to perform well at the drag strip?  Good traction, good gearing, lots of horsepower and as little weight as possible, at least not close to the unpowered axle(s).

Here is the problem with the Stingray:  the automatic transmission equipped version (more suitable for strip duties) with the right rear end ratio (2.73 vs. 2.41), Z51 is the heavier car than the non Z51 version and by substantial amount, over 100 pounds.   Major chunk of this extra weight is associated with the problematic dry sump system (including the extra oil capacity) that is totally worthless at the track, in straight line racing.

Not only there is extra weight from the dry sump system and oil but to make matters worse, the extra weight happens to be up front, instead of loading the rear axle.

Could this stupidity be avoided?  Of course!!!.  Making dry sump a part of TRACK option instead of lumping it together with the rest of Z51 option could make things simple but simplicity requires intelligence and Tadge has none, just like the Stingray buyers, too busy looking for Z51 EMBLEMS than figuring out how to make their cars better.
