The main reason why latest Corvette C7 Stingray and Z06 cannot seriously compete with real exotics

One of the funniest notions propagated not just by the enthusiastic buyers but +Tadge Juechter himself is  newest Corvette generation ability to hang out with true exotic cars such as Ferrari, Lamborghini and McLaren, to name a few.

So why is this an impossibility and outright delusion?

Well, never mind the +General Motors  parts sourcing, never mind shitty build quality and ongoing saga of any possible defect under the sun.  Never mind the leaf springs, porker weight, cheap interior and slush box.  After all, Ford GT and Dodge Viper share components with less glorious corporate vehicles.  However, neither one of these cars owners have to worry about not fitting in with typical exotic cars.

The problem lies in LACK OF PEDIGREE that Corvette has been suffering from since its conception. Seeing the newest Corvette next to a Ferrari or Lamborghini or Rossion can induce uncontrollable spasm of laughter.

So who exactly mistakes a Corvette for a Ferrari?  Only someone who has never seen one before.

With the upcoming C7 Z06, there is even less worry for real exotic car owners but even a bigger chuckle.  No matter how fast the car may be, it is still no substitute for an exotic, just another corporate recipe for going fast in a car resembling more expensive alternatives but only if the buyers can stomach the gaudy and garish appearances and still lack of coil over suspension
