2015 Corvette C7 Z06 General Motors and UAW quality control bloopers

As the sun rising each morning is an undeniable fact (at least to those who stay away from +General Motors brand of Kool Aid), the absolute lack of quality and quality control in the Bowling Green Corvette Assembly Plant is another undeniable and very frustrating fact.

While +Tadge Juechter is busy blowing smoke, diverting attention from the mounting mechanical problems related directly to the flawed and ill thought out design of the newest flagship and while the crew of United Auto Workers union flunkies spends its time counting the money given to them under so called performance annual bonus, the latest flagship apparently receives no attention at all.

Apparently the issue of non existent assembly quality and then subsequent lack of any kind of quality checks, at the factory are non issue to GM as long as the cars continue to roll out, preferably on all four wheels still attached and engines occasionally cranking and starting up...

Picking up the pieces afterwards is somehow left to the GM dealers and furthermore, to the buyers.

To the benefit of GM and UAW, had it not been for this truly subpar quality and overall lack of unionized worker pride, the general public would be completely deprived of the resulting sideshow entertainment as shown in this picture.  Never mind the awful paint, never mind misaligned body panels and anything else that continues to be discovered on these new flagships and typically discovered AFTER so called pre delivery inspection supposedly done by the dealer.

What really matters is the entertainment resulting from this sham.  How on Earth is it possible that a front grille from the base Stingray could end up on the flagship?  How did the brake ducts fit behind the base grille?  And then, how was it possible that this car slid through the quality control before being loaded up on the delivery truck?  What happened to the quality control?

Perhaps, this is the first C7 Grand Sport car?  Or maybe there was a shortage of Z06 grilles due to Ebay buyers, installing them on the base car?  How about this is another engine cooling upgrade?

Finally, there is another explanation: GM/UAW are hiring non English speaking  almost legal immigrants, under direct orders from Obama?  Either way, as much as this is another SNAFU, it is not surprising at all, super funny nevertheless...
