A serious plunge in Corvette C7 Stingray and Z06 sales in January 2015 versus January 2014

Nothing shocking or surprising here but nevertheless, as recommended by +Tadge Juechter , time to do some Corvette math...

January 2014-2261 C7 Corvettes sold
January 2015-2,127 C7 Corvettes sold

Crunching the numbers results in 6% decrease in sales.

A couple of points here:

2015-2014 sales trend is the complete reversal  of 2005-2006 monthly sales figures-NO GOOD

Both 2014-2015 and 2005-2006 monthly sales figures include brand new Z06 model sales-EVEN WORSE!!!

Apparently neither the Nurburgring finger math or engine and transmission problems or road and track performance failures of Z06 managed to help the sales?  Now, this is a huge surprise!!!

Perhaps it is time for Tadge and +General Motors sales department to validate the 5000 Corvette Z06 orders that Tadge somehow "mistook" for actual sales?  Hmmm...

    1. There are still unsold 2014's sitting on the lots. Should not be any different this year.

    2. They are not "unsold", they are spares. You see GM knows that the motors, torque tubes, transmissions, oiling system, intake system are prone to fail and fail often. So these cars can and should be given to the owners of the cars with the Exxon Valdez size oil slick under their cars.

    3. LOL, that is one way to look at it. However, two problems here: nobody at those dealerships competent enough to dismantle these cars without damaging the needed components and most of the 2014 "spares" are 6-speed auto turds.
