Bowling Green, KY weather and hundreds of 2015 Corvettes C7 Z06 stuck outside on indefinite "quality control" hold

As already mentioned, it will be a miracle if any of the +General Motors finest, 2015 Corvettes C7 Z06 8-speed automatics will be released before the fourth week of March.  Now, no matter what the reason may be, and there is one without any doubt that extends beyond the gas guzzler tax, the fact that SUMMER ONLY tires standard on Z06 cars do indeed crack in low ambient temperatures raises another question:  how much will the replacement of the tires that cracked cost GM?  How much of that cost will be dumped on the buyers through subsequent price hikes?

The cost of all Corvettes C7 already went up due to the UAW extorted bonuses for the incompetent and lazy crew that continues to create fit and finish nightmares for the buyers but if +Tadge Juechter and his crew cannot get their shit together, maybe it will be cheaper to send these flagships straight to the crusher instead of dealing with the consequences of allowing these cars to sit for months outside, in the middle of freezing winter?

This blog pointed out many months ago that the penny smart and pound foolish GM attitude regarding not providing enclosed factory storage for new Corvettes will be causing many problems and apparently this is just another one.  Those 9k bonuses that BG UAW crew collected could add up to a healthy chunk of that storage construction but of course, neither those devoted employees or the management really give a flying fuck about long term consequences of short time gains.

On the bright side, there should be a lot of fun for the buyers, especially those out of state, using courtesy delivery to keep their fingers crossed not just for overfilled engine oil and shitty paint but now, cracked tires as well.  Of course, there should be plenty of numbnuts discovering their tires having cracks AFTER taking the delivery and then waiting for replacement tires to maybe show up and then dealer not fucking up the wheels while swapping the tires (or the rest of the car).
