The lack of quality and absolute lack of workmanship pride is prevalent on any of the +General Motors seventh generation of Corvette, just like it did on any of the previous generations of this America's "favorite sports car". Although easier to understand on the lower priced base Stingray, it is absolutely inconceivable to witness the same attitude first allowed by GM and then gladly adopted by the UAW crew assembling these turds in Bowling Green.
Of course, easier to understand still does not make it acceptable and considering the bullshit +Tadge Juechter continues to spout off regarding the "world class interior" of any of the latest Corvettes, this kind of crap should not be happening in any of these cars.
But... it is truly puzzling to see that there is absolutely nobody in General Motors or the dealership that sells these cars to take a close look and at least attempt to make these cars live up to the marketing bullshit. Certainly, there is no excuse for misaligned trim pieces and stains or finish defects on a brand new car that is supposedly being delivered to the buyer?
Claiming world class is one thing, living up to the claim is another and certainly, nobody can accuse GM or Corvette mouthpiece Juechter of being honest and actually following up on these claims.
As illustrated in this photo, the reality is as far from the marketing hype as anything else that GM can come up with. The truly embarrassing part here though is the absolute lack of care demonstrated by the dealer who without any doubt can care less and maybe will react but only if the customer complains. Considering the geriatric nature of Corvette buyers, there may be no complaints here.
Now, if the interior fit and finish are so shitty on the brand new car, how will this interior hold up after few months of use? Pretty obvious that turd, no matter if it is wrapped in cheap leather or not, is still the same turd.
