Does the effective today, February 2, 2015, $1000 price increase for all Corvette C7 Stingray and Z06 mean improvements to paint and finish quality?

Gotta give it to +General Motors for being very ballsy, increasing the MSRP on all seventh generation Corvettes, effective today, with all slush box Z06 still being on control quality hold.

In reality, this move is the expected maneuver to clear up the lots of all remaining unsold 2015 Stingray and Z06 cars that continue to sit on many lots, and in quite a few instances, sharing the storage space with unsold 2014 Stingrays.

But... besides the sales impact, is there really a justification for +Tadge Juechter and the rest of the Corvette team to slap another grand on top of the current MSRP?  Are there any improvements offered to remedy the anemic performance, undersized supercharger and intercooler, heat soak and a slew of mechanical and electronic problems that as expected affect the entire line up but especially, the newest "flagship"?

The answer is of course NO, still the same overweight turd with the same performance hampering flaws and strong possibility of blowing the engine or transmission.    From the performance aspect, the current price increase means that those few who actually pursue the pipe dream of performance improvements, relying on the aftermarket "tuners" will pay one gran more for voiding their factory warranty.

So does the price increase mean that the truly awful paint and body panel fitment will be improving to at least create a justification for this newest price hike?  Yeah, of course there will be change for better, just like illustrated here:

  1. The massive number of orders Tadge has received so far must help him sleep tight at night.
    (and give you nightmares!)

    1. The only thing that is massive is the reaming Juechter and his Z06 continue to encounter. The latest just recorded by Motor Trend in Z06 vs. Nissan GTR Nismo comparo.

More sales is a very good thing- generating more complaints and whining from the buyers, especially with the slush box version almost here (as soon as quality control releases them).
