Indefinite "quality control" hold on 2015 8-speed auto Corvette C7 Z06?

Gotta love the way things continue to backfire at +Tadge Juechter and +General Motors .  Not only is Juechter forced to eat his own words regarding the C7 Z06 showing serious lack of capacity to be considered a real track duty capable contender but on top of this, there is apparently a serious problem brewing regarding the already overdue for release C7 Z06 equipped with the newest 8-speed 8l90 slush box transmission.

Typically, prolonged  GM "quality control" holds indicate serious issues with the car and considering the slew of overheating related issues the newest flagship shows in its manual transmission version there are even worse problems with the slush box version.

Obviously and as usual, the employment of any kind of logistics is not an action expected from GM and thus, over 500 Z06 cars continue to rot away in the Bowling Green plant parking lot, in the middle of winter to an unquestionable dismay of the eager buyers.

Considering that the hold has been upgraded to INDEFINITE, the whole introduction of the new car already turned into a joke and somehow the status quo will continue for quite a while.

At this rate, these cars will be released (assuming GM finds the remedy) very closely to the beginning of the 2016 model year and certainly motivate the buyers to buy a year older car versus a newer one...

  1. these JUNKMOBILES should be recalled and taken to a crusher.the Gigantic Mistake has shown they can NOT make good performance cars at all.all of the recalls, the issues with the vette, and the SLOW selling CRAPMARO shows alot of money may not be spent on the new SCRAPMARO when it comes out,and maybe even the mid engine vette that they might try to come out with.anyway you look at it,gm is a Garbage Motor Company.

    1. Maybe these are the parts cars GM is stashing away to deal with the near future? If these cars sit there longer, it may be more feasible just to scrap them, LOL...
