Apparently the engine decided to take a permanent vacation upon hitting 500 miles which is actually a record of sorts for the +General Motors and its flagship, LOL...
Will +Tadge Juechter personally deliver a new engine overnight? Considering the motor blew up over two weeks ago, Tadge must be too busy coming up with another designer color for the flagship porker, LOL...
Another case of defective oil filter? Hmmm... Unlikely actually, it appears to be the same problem found on Cadillac CTSV, with self destructing supercharger chunking out shrapnel straight into the runner. Maybe the new Kool Aid color offered on Z06 in 2016 will provide the much needed protection?
The shrapnel of any size that could damage the motor should not be able to get pass the air to water cooler located between the charger and intake?????? They have to have a cooler, or if not you would just be pumping hot air in the motor.
ReplyDeleteThat has happened in the past on other superchargers, due to excessive heat. Metal particles do not have to be all that big and they would be in the oil. But... who knows? Maybe the engine let go internally, this would not be a surprise either.
Deletethis shows that Garbage Motors rushed this motor out and didnt test it like they always do.the motor is junk, and when they put it in the CRAPMARO it will blow up too.gm is a General Malfunction.
DeleteI'm sure Tadge envisioned the shrapnel making ability of the C7 as an added feature. I have a fridge at home that has similar feature for icecubes. "Makes shrapnel" check.
