A purely rhetorical question since this is a well established fact, as already pointed out here.
To the credit of the Corvette forums, nobody should be blaming people running those places for trying to earn extra revenues and without any doubt, +General Motors and aftermarket equipment suppliers are great contributors to those profits, just like the profits of the automotive press.
So the buyers coming to these forums are kept in the dark and a few get fucked over, stuck with a broken down six figure piece of corporate shit, no big deal really, at least not to the owners of these forums and the typical mothball Corvette buyers. After all, what really matters is the profit for both the forum operators, GM and aftermarket bullshit artists.
Certainly, +Tadge Juechter will not be losing his sleep over a few schmucks stuck with their newest six figure purchases that take a shit right after the purchase is complete.
Here is a funny example of this bullshit continuing and those Corvette forums delivering on the contributions from the vendors and GM as agreed, literally villifying a numbnut who bought into the marketing bullshit and plunked out quite a bit of money for something that belongs at a scrapyard, not a dealership showroom floor. If the C7 Z06 blowing its motor at six miles is impressive, the behavior of these Corvette forums and the assholes running them is even more impressive.
This forum, calling itself Corvetteforum.com already has a section to supposedly allow Juechter to answer those urgent questions from the public but... seeing how a schmuck who dared to announce his ordeal gets canned by the "moderators" within hours, leaves no doubt about credibility of these places. As a funny sidenote, reading this shit, one of the moderators, calling himself PEWTER should be commanded for sticking to the orders and apparently finding quite a bit of comfort in being a true douchbag and motherfucker putting up quite a fight for his leash holders.
Once again, the entertainment resulting from people stupid enough to buy Corvettes continues...

I have to say though, it's that very same forum that saved me from buying one of those pieces of shit. I did my research for about a year and a half before I bought my Viper, because, although I can finally afford a cool car, I'm not rich. I have to work for my money, and I'm not about to give it to some fuckstick who claims his car is God's gift to motoring, or listen to the magazines I have since discontinued that claim the same bullshit. I did my research, as any prudent car purchaser should, and I quickly discovered by reading about the woes the cool-aid drinkers were having, that the C7 is a big blotted turd. Man, that was a close one. Come to think of it, maybe if they started using the cool-aid in the radiator the car wouldn't overheat so much. Just a thought.
