As 2016 model year for Corvette C7 Stingray and C7 Z06 nears, idiots owning 2014 and 2015 turds continue to excuse the failure of hatch closing mechanism

June 22nd is the day when first 2016 Corvettes start rolling off the assembly line in Bowling Green and this is the same day when first C7 Corvettes become finally available with an actual power assisted rear hatch/trunk mechanism, TWO YEARS after first Corvette C7 was (half ass) produced.

As already mentioned here, +General Motors had no choice but to finally fess up to the very annoying design fuck up that has plagued the newest generation of Corvette since its introduction and replace the "smart metal" hatch/trunk closing abomination with the design used on the previous generation of Corvette, consisting of actual mechanical power assisted actuator, completing the closing sequence, without Corvette sheep leaning on the hatch (or trunk lid in covertibles), thanking +Tadge Juechter and his team of idiots using the most creative expletives.

But... since obviously the resale value of the 2014 and 2015 C7 pieces of shit (including the flagship) will be taking another resale hit on this account (in addition to many others), how about the idiots who were dumb enough to buy these failures?

Will they demand GM to retrofit their jalopies with an actual working hatch closing design?  Absolutely not!!! Instead, and chances are very good this will be the prevailing scenario, they will be justifying the adequacy of the current failure and openly advertise their "cleverness" combating the failed design and downplay the idiocy of the non working "technology".

Exactly, even though the hatch closing fiasco is more of annoyance than performance issue, as long as there are morons ready to apologize for the design fuck ups, Corvettes will continue their downward spiral, becoming even more of a joke that  they currently are.  The thing about little problems is that they tend to signify larger problems and as long as apologists continue to prevail, a piece of shit will continue to become even a bigger piece of shit, sealing its fate early on.

On the bright side, the resale values of the latest and greatest continue to plunge, preserving the values of the previous generation cars owners (especially Z06 and ZR1) giving them the last laugh.
