Obama and EPA attempt to kill car performance aftermarket industry- how will it affect Corvette C7 Stingray and Corvette C7 Z06

If anyone interested in cars looks at the news these days, the item that makes the most noise seems to be Obama and his liberal pals directing EPA to kill automotive performance aftermarket industry once and for all.

The part that everyone seems to miss about this happy event is the fact that the sneaky regulation (it is not a law since laws require Congress to act on them) cramped in the Green Gas Emissions Bill was made available for public review and comments last year, setting timeframes for public input.

Apparently geniuses in SEMA missed that deadline and all of the sudden, there is a big surprise and uproar this year, long past the mandatory comment period, leaving absolutely nothing on the table for those who object to this newest exhibit of truly fucked up and controlling minds of liberals in charge of this country currently, mainly the fucking allah worshiping motherfucker named Barrack Hussein Obama Jr. and his legislative pals, including the biggest cunt of them all, Dianne Feinstein.

As usual, the liberal Nazis exploited the most vulnerable characteristic of US society: its apathy and inaction until it is too late to do anything meaningful.  SEMA represents the core of US automotive aftermarket, it supposedly watches out and protects its members, lobbying on their behalf, yet, somehow, everyone in SEMA was asleep during the comment period and now, all non tree hugging car owners and the aftermarket are literally fucked.

The liberal grab for civil rights and freedoms is nothing new, it has been since the very first day the fucking allah worshiping Obama became US president.  This motherfucker seems to be very systematic, eliminating one by one any of the rights legal citizens of this country supposedly have guaranteed by their Constitution.  To make the matters worse, this piece of shit has a great support from liberal legislators, including the cunt named Dianne Feinstein, the same bitch who was instrumental in creating the Clean Air Act and then causing gas prices to hit the ceiling, especially in California.   Finally, to top it off, the same liberal public who insists on taking guns away from US citizens while taxing them to death to pay for all the muslim and mexican freeloaders flooding this country happened to be completely anti high performance car culture, hugging the trees and their Priuses, worrying about the global warming while fucking muslims try their hardest to blow up US in pieces, taking down as many US citizens with them as possible.

Apparently, NRA does considerably better job protecting gun owners than SEMA or anyone else fighting for rights of car enthusiasts and automotive aftermarket industry.

Here is the excerpt from the "Green Gas Emissions" bullshit bill that literally eliminates any aftermarket modifications to mass produced cars sold in US:

"(5) Certified motor vehicles and motor vehicle engines and their emission
control devices must remain in their certified configuration even if they are
used solely for competition or if they become nonroad vehicles or engines;
anyone modifying a certified motor vehicle or motor vehicle engine for any
reason is subject to the tampering and defeat device prohibitions of paragraph
(a)(3) of this section and 42 U.S.C.7522(a)(3)" 

So what this really mean?  What it means that the only way to LEGALLY own a car in US after 2018 is to keep it fully stock, at least with anything related to emissions control.  "Certified" configuration means as the complete car subject to the emissions certification prior to any car being produced or sold in US.

Unfortunately, this does not end with the car itself, the engine alone is a justifiable cause for the EPA enforcement.  In other words, even a kit car that happened to use an engine picked up at a junkyard is subject to his regulation, since its identification is stamped on the block.  To take this even further, this regulation gives the EPA and its state counterparts the legal authority to invade a private home should someone use a blown engine as a coffee table since using it as a coffee table would easily qualify as a modification under this regulation.

To make it even worse, this little section gives the EPA and others a very broad authority to visit the next SCCA or similar racing event and inspect all the cars, confiscating any that happened to have their engines modified or USING different engines that can be found on other vehicles.

As it is right now, aftermarket suppliers cover their asses by issuing those FOR OFF ROAD USE ONLY disclaimers while selling their products but what if there is no off road anymore?  Clearly, any of the aftermarket equipment that can even remotely be accused of affecting emissions will be deemed illegal for sale for any car produced in 2018 and later, with the manufacturers and retailers held liable for illegal sales, just like it happens now with marijuana and will happen soon with guns and ammunition.

So how does this impact +General Motors and its Chevrolet Corvette?  For now, it does not but beginning with 2018, there is no more legally available aftermarket support in the engine compartment, none at all.  Will the aftermarket take its chances and offer equipment that is illegal everywhere?  This is very unlikely since EPA will be there to generate revenues, in spite of blowing smoke now and even if the feds will not do it, the states and municipalities will find a very easy way to increase their revenues.  A day at the races may become considerably more lucrative than trapping road racers and lots of money is always needed to support the growing rows of freeloaders.

The ironic part here is the fact that Corvette's chief "engineer" +Tadge Juechter loves to tell the buying public about the newest Corvette race and track potential available when using those aftermarket parts and in house scam called GMPP.  No such thing after 2017 for Corvette owners.  Anyone caught committing this federal crime, including mundane items as any non certified air intakes, exhaust system modifications or even the ever popular skip shift bypass may be risking losing their cars or at least getting them impounded.

Of course, any modifications to the cooling system would qualify as illegal as well, coolant temperatures affect emissions.  Without any doubt, engine rebuilding may become thing of the past as well, absolutely nothing beyond manufacturer supplied original parts.

Can this be stopped or will US become a live set for 1984 sequel?  The comment period has passed and legal action will be lengthy and expensive, giving environment protectors another Holy Grail.  Should the cunt named Hillary Clinton or Fidel Sanders, 2017 may become the very last year of independent car loving US,
