Another fatal GM blow to Corvette C7-2014 Chevrolet Camaro

Maybe this was not what GM intended but the hottest sticking point regarding new Corvette appearance is its non direct but very obvious resemblance to Chevrolet Camaro, with regards to the tail lights.

 

 

 

It does not really matter what Tadge Juechter or anyone else say, the resemblance is there and in a very obvious way and it seems to antagonize many people.  Actually, it is pretty amazing how much these tail lights caused and how many sales they managed to lose for the upcoming Corvette.

Apparently GM heard about it and in spite of its claims that there is no problem, decided to react and I guess remediate the snafu?  Well, gotta hand it to GM to mess this part up even worse than the original problem. 

Common sense would dictate that if the problem is related to Corvette, this is the car that should be changed to please the buyers.  However, what does GM do?  Well, GM decides to change the Camaro which is beyond stupid.


So what happens here?  Now, the new Corvette tail lights look like DISCONTINUED model Camaro tail lights, making car look obsolete before even it becomes available for sale.  This is absolutely brilliant considering the tail lights still resemble Camaro, just an old one.  Does GM stand for General Morons?  Apparently this is exactly what it stands for.
