Corvette C7 interior-what is old is new?

Looking at the interior of this car and thinking about the statement +Chevrolet  team made about bringing it on par with European counterparts such as Porsche and Ferrari, I cannot help laughing.  I never realized that Corvette C4 interior was modeled after high end sports cars, I actually thought it was uninspiring and just plain cheesy.  Now, long and behold, I am looking at its derivative in C7.

So how is going back to pretty old design and merely tweaking it, adding video arcade entertainment and this ghastly steering wheel going to add some high end style to this car?  The answer is very simple-IT WILL NOT.
