This is a great example of journalism at its worst. This worthless piece actually has TRACK TEST in the title, implying these cars were tested on the track at the same time, along with all measurements, including dyno conducted at the same time. In reality, the Stinker C7 was the only one driven on the track and neither of the cars was put on dyno.
Seeing this garbage continuing to flow out of Edmunds vaults makes me suspect GM must be paying off Edmunds to continue its marketing campaign of C7 covering its failure with misinformation and deception.
Isn't this the same photo of the Stinkray I just saw in another so called comparison with Nissan GTR?
This photo is a real good one too, the front end lift, body roll and vast amount of suspension travel are visible very well.
Here is an idea to Edmunds, why don't you find a real life C6 LS3 Z51 NPP Corvette and put it on the track side by side with the Stinkray? Using currently available tires instead of referring to tests that used those truly awful Goodyear F1 run flats? Chances are very good that by now, there is not a single car around that still has this junk instead of real tires. This way, we can make this a meaningful comparison, especially considering that C6 base car can easily switch to Z06 and GS size rim and tire widths, unlike C7. Alternatively, put GS runflat crap on C7 and let us see what it can do then.
Cannot find a car for actual testing? Get in touch with me, I just happened to own one and would be glad to lend it to you. Should be quite a shocker to Edmunds and GM, assuming they do not realize how well matched with C7 this car would be.
