Another worthless SO CALLED COMPARISON - Corvette C7 vs. Nissan GTR

Edmunds seems to excel in misinformation regarding Corvette C7.  This time, they made up a comparison of Stinkray vs. Nissan GTR.

http://www.edmunds.com/car-reviews/track-tests/2014-chevrolet-corvette-stingray-z51-vs-2013-nissan-gt-r-premium-track-test.html

I do have to give them credit for at least disclosing why this is not a real comparison and why Edmunds should not be treated seriously by anyone interested in cars.

Right off the bat

"Chevy wouldn't let us bring a Nissan GT-R to its proving grounds for a face-off against the new Corvette, so we're doing this one bench-racing style, by the numbers. "

LOL, why is that exactly?  And how possibly could anyone press on with a write up about event that did not take place?

There is only one way to make a legitimate comparison: testing cars in real life, AT THE SAME TIME and actually driving them on the same track and taking measurements at the same time using the same equipment.

What I would really like to know is how did Edmunds get a production 2013 GTR in November of 2011?  Was this a prototype?  And since Edmunds tested the car in November, are these wet times?

Edmunds should really stop publishing this junk, unless there is a commission coming to Edmunds from General Motors.  This is another totally worthless bogus comparison.  Come on Edmunds, like it was not bad enough to copy and paste test results from C6 Z51 from 2008 and compare them with 2014 C7 Stinkray?  How about a nice comparison with Model T next, using 1916 test results, should be as meaningful.

Nissan GTR is leaps and bounds ahead of C7 and will stay there no matter how many high performance Stinkrays there may be in the future.  If this car came with manual transmission, I would be seriously consider owning one instead of driving Corvette.
