Corvette C7 Stingray Z51 AT convertible buyers-the dumbest of the bunch

Yes, in hierarchy of stupidity and ignorance, the buyers of Stingray convertible with Z51 and automatic transmission are the dumbest of them all, with the same car equipped with manual transmission right below them.

Why?  Due to lack of quarter panel cooling vents, the cooling ability of automatic transmission on convertible will be inferior to its coupe counterpart and with the smaller torque converter and higher stall speed, the automatic transmission will run hotter than it should, especially in a track duty.

Add to this the extra weight of larger wheels and dry sump and this version of the Stingray is the ultimate turd of the current line up.  On top of it, all Stingray convertibles, including the current base car and the upcoming Z06 convertible completely lack any form of ROLL OVER PROTECTION, rendering them not just worthless on the track but dangerous all around, even on the street.

Even though the manual transmission version will not experience the same extent of heat build up as the automatic, it still will and of course it still will lack the roll over protection

None of this of course matters to the typical Corvette Stingray buyers, there should be no issues with these cars during the typical use: Zaino waxing session or trip to nearest Cars and Coffee event to join other posers, LOL.

Good thing that IQ of average Stingray buyer can be counted using all five fingers, otherwise +Tadge Juechter  could be in trouble....
