More about Bowling Green Corvette C7 Stingray assembly plant cover up

The extent of SNAFU at Bowling Green Corvette assembly plant is right down scary.  There is already enough evidence demonstrating that neither UAW belonging assembly crew nor the management in charge of quality control take any pride at all in building what +Tadge Juechter describes as the "flagship of +General Motors " and American sports car icon.

The information that is accidentally discovered during repairs requiring at least a partial disassembly of the car sheds plenty of light on the attitude of the employees and the car itself.  To put it mildly and politely, absolutely nobody gives a flying eff about the quality of the car and the fact these cars do not fall apart yet and function at all can be considered a miracle.

Here is another instance of a ghetto style repair of parts broken during the assembly.  The broken portions of the fenders are epoxied together in the most sloppy fashion and then passed on the unsuspecting consumers.

There is no doubt that this is another wide spread problem, with unaffected cars being an exception to the despicable rule.  One can only wonder how many of the Stingrays have this damage that without any doubt has been covered up with the blessing from the people responsible for quality control at the plant.

As these "hidden secrets" are being uncovered, it becomes painfully clear that contrary to the GM advertisements, the new Corvette is not really a big bang for the buck, it is instead a truly embarrassing piece of shit that should be never allowed to leave the assembly plant and even less so, hit the streets.

Perhaps the pre-delivery inspection should not just include visual check but a car disassembly?  Seeing these FACT BASED horror stories, this option seem right down mandatory.

This problem with body panels not fitting correctly and then being broken while forcing them to fit is one of those that have been uncovered but one cannot help wonder how many other nasty surprises are still hiding in these cars?  Anyone spending 60 or more thousands of  dollars should be demanding an independent investigation.
