Good ole +Tadge Juechter , this guy either has shit for brains or whatever he had under the hat hanger must have evaporated long time ago due to hair loss.
The current Z51 option is highly coveted by the Stingray buying sheep. The sheep as sheep should be cannot think, this is why the sheep hang together in the first place, LOL.
What is the problem with the Z51 option? The car is considerably heavier than its non Z51 version. This alone creates fuel efficiency problems, something that Juechter supposedly dealt with across the board with the Stingray. So did Juechter get this right? Absolutely not and if Juechter was not catching up on the zees in his physics class, he would come up with a better solution.
What mainly causes the extra weight? The DRY SUMP engine oiling system, plus the heavier wheels and tires due to their larger diameter.
What is exactly the purpose of dry sump oiling system on STREET DRIVEN Corvette? Absolutely none. Can street driven Corvette benefit from improved transmission, engine and differential cooling? YES. Can street driven Corvette benefit from shorter first gear? YES
Can street driven Corvette benefit from lesser weight? YES
Can street driven Corvette benefit from dry sump oiling system? Absolutely NOT!!!
In the instances, when dry sump oil system is useful, under high g loads, the car is strictly on the track, not on the street or drag strip. If indeed the dry sump oil system was needed on the street, the car owner would be either crashing the car due to lack of driving skills or getting arrested for reckless driving.
Apparently Tadge Juechter is too stupid to figure out that instead of complicating lives of the buyers who NEVER take their cars to the track, there should be a Z51 option with dry sump and larger wheels as an OPTION!!!
Ironically enough, the previous generation of Corvette base Z51 did not include the dry sump option but the drivers did benefit ON THE STREET from extra cooling, better brakes and shorter first gear (on the manual transmission, with shorter final drive on cars with automatic transmission).
In summary, to call Juechter a fully fledged IDIOT would be an understatement of the year, than God that the Stingray buyers are just as dim witted as the Stingray chief "engineer".
