Consumer Reports slams Corvette C7 Stingray-the honeymoon is over

Consumer Reports is not commonly recognized as the top automotive authority, at least among car enthusiasts but... somehow when Corvette C7 Stingray takes a beating from reviewers and places well below the lowest of the BMW M line cars, 2 series, everyone somehow takes a notice.

So what aspects matter to Consumer Reports reviewers?  Occupant safety, practicality, reliability and overall ergonomics and ease of use.  Ironically enough, these are the exact aspects that matter to Corvette buyers even though they spent their time bragging about performance figures, while taking a break from another waxing event.

Interestingly enough, the newest plastic fantastic failed to sway the Consumer Reports reviewers, most likely due not to being dependent on automotive manufacturers advertisement donations.  Without reliance on advertisement revenues, Stingray placed quite low in the performance pecking order, below the lowest of the BMWs, below Porsche 911 and Tesla S.

The reality of the newest Corvette, in spite of +Tadge Juechter  and +General Motors marketing team delusions of Porsche and Ferrari competition is that the newest Corvette is just as crude and cheaply made as previous generations and no matter what shape the car takes, the shape cannot disguise the cheapness, especially when quality and fit and finish of the new car is truly despicable.

Apparently when reviewers are not bound by the advertisement contribution obligations, the reality of the orange peel rich and differential fluid short is not very pleasing.
