Is General Motors setting up buyers of base non Z51 Corvette Stingray buyers with TRACK MODE?

The old saying that little knowledge can be a very dangerous thing certainly applies to the newest generation of Corvette.  In a nutshell, unless someone reads and then follow fine print in their owner manual, attempting to follow marketing claims used to sell newest Corvette can be a very expensive lesson.  In fact, as already demonstrated, simply blowing the flawed and poorly designed motor can be the least worry of the owner, burning the car to the ground and counting the lucky stars for staying alive is the most likely outcome.

Since the introduction of the newest Corvette, +Tadge Juechter has been peddling the Stingray as the track ready sports car, certainly an incentive to many people, regardless if they intended to drive competitively or not.

As the time went by, the douchebag Corvette chief "engineer" started to backtrack, narrowing down track and race experience to Z51 optioned cars only.  If someone followed closely Juechter, the part of non Z51 optioned car being incapable of any kind of track use became obvious.  However, those people are few and far between, the majority relied on sales brochures and assurances from their sales people.  After all, why would they pay attention if TRACK driving mode is standard issue on any of the newest Corvettes?

So what happens if someone fails to understand the implied meaning of track preparations REFERENCING Z51 optioned cars only and takes the base car to the track or even a high performance NON COMPETITIVE driving education event?  The motor will blow, self destruct, likely setting their car on fire and after both their insurance and +General Motors deny their claim, they will be fully SOL, with no support from anyone at all.  If this is a typical Corvette buyer, in the 70's, this may be the costly lesson ruining their retirement and old age security.

Of course, the motor will not blow due to the unacceptable use, it will blow due to its defects, flawed design and shoddy craftsmanship but this will not matter, both General Motors and insurance company will be fully off the hook-what a great way for GM to get away with defective engine design!!!

Of course, there will be non track related engine failures happening more and more but... since the majority of people buying Corvettes are too busy waxing them than driving them, there will be not enough miles on many of the new Corvettes to have these engines fail, until the warranty expires and God forbid, someone else buys it used in the future.

From the stand point of economics, this is a great way of reducing costs related to poor engineering, certainly way cheaper than recalling all cars to replace the engines (not to mention there would have to be a fix to the flawed engine design first).  From the ethical point, this is as unscrupulous as one can get, fucking people over for thousands of dollars.

IF and only IF anyone at GM, including the douchebag Juechter had any integrity, the TRACK mode would be eliminated from the non Z51 cars altogether and owners manual would make it perfectly clear that non Z51 cars are street use only.  Of course this would kill the sales and profits and put GM in the position of paying for more engines, thus, this will never happen.

Furthermore, the other ethical thing would be to include with the TRACK mode a hard reset, to be done by the authorized dealer, allowing the TRACK mode option only AFTER all track preparations are complete and checked by the dealer.  Would this be hard to do?  Not all but once again, the sales would suffer and engine replacement would be even more costly to the dealers since blowing up the motors and burning cars at the track would mean costly compensation to the suckers who dared to believe the marketing claims.

Will someone sue GM for misleading advertisement and entrapment called TRACK MODE?  Hopefully someone will and soon to teach Juechter and rest of the douchebags a valuable lesson in honesty.
